Are we any closer to installing the legitimate President and his team?

Went to Lowe's today for the first time in over a year. Wow, inflation is hitting us hard! $40-60$ for a bag of mortar!

Did you ask? Do you know how to look for stuff? I've gone to Lowe's with homeowners like you and it just baffles me how messed up they can be. One homeowner wanted me to get the exact number of fence boards rather than my usual custom of getting about ten percent extra and then taking back the unused or rejected ones. I ended up five short and sent him back for 5 more cedar fence boards. He came back with five redwood fence boards and complained how the price had gone up. I used them anyway in spite of the fact that instead of 5 and a half inches the redwood boards are almost exactly 6 inches. So now he has some boards left over and refuses to take the extra ones back and his gate has some nice redwood boards for accent.

There's 39 different mortar products so you have to pick the type you need at the price you like and ask for help if you don't understand. Maybe you thought the right product would just call out to you? https://www.lowes.com/pl/Mortar-mix-Concrete-cement-stucco-mix-Concrete-cement-masonry-Building-supplies/4294515397

Another homeowner tells me she already has concrete to set a fence post to repair a fence. I dig the hole exactly where I need it and then find only a bag of Portland. No worries. I know how to cheat. I screen the dirt that came out of the post hole and add Portland in a recommended portion. It's called stabilized earth. It's fine for a fence post and you don't need to waste money on concrete.

I report all this to the homeowner and she claims, "but I had concrete". Me: "No mam, you have cement" She thinks it's the same thing so I must take a moment to tell her the difference between concrete and Portland cement.

Some homeowners like to get involved and it's always exciting and interesting to see how it works out. Homeowner wanted to go to Home Depot to pick up all the parts for sprinkler manifold so I made a list. She came back all happy and proud with every single part the wrong size and or item. Nothing matched the list. She said the employee told her it was the right stuff. I returned it all and picked up my parts for her project.

You can't even trust some of the employees at Lowes to get it right. I asked for 25 millimeter snap off blades and the employee points to a pack of 18 millimeter blades and says testily, "They're right here!". Me: "Uh, no, they aren't". He cops more attitude and slaps the packs of 18 millimeter blades and says, "Look man, that's what we got, they're right here and if you don't want them I can't help you". I ask him to at least read the label. Even when I point to the place on the label that says it's 18 millimeter he still snarls at me. I report him to manager who gives me an entire new holder with blades and tells me he will deal with his stupid employee. I never saw the guy working there again.
