Step parents already have an abysmal record of abuse and murdering step children. If anyone looks up the statistics on this, they would be absolutely floored. It gets worse when the adopted child is not of the same ethnic background. White couples adopting children of a different ethnicity is wrong and is asking for trouble later on. IMHO, it should be outlawed because it is cruel trying to make some one into some thing they are not, nor ever will be. When the self-awareness kicks in, there is plenty of resentment, bitterness, and angst, to which bad shit can happen.
