Its the first version of SOMA (Brave New World). Huxley wrote it as a work of fiction, but in a follow-up essay he clarified it was a NWO game plan disguised as work of fiction. A happy, passive population is much easier to control.

Yes, I am well acquainted with weed. I didn't say goofy & stupid, I said happy & passive. Although happy is a stretch and was referring to Soma. Weed is not a drug to get intoxicated on and overthrow a government. Ever smoke crystal?
