I was a boatswain mate in the Navy, spent many hours on the helm of ships just as large, if not larger than the cargo ship Ever Given operated by Evergreen. I been through a cyclone that pummeled Madagascar in 1984 where the winds were so strong it picked me up to where I slid across the focsle. Been through many storms with high winds while standing watch on the helm.
Been on the helm in tight situations during unreps and sea and anchor detail while going through the Suez canal, Singapore Straights, Hong Kong, down the Colombian River in 1985 on the way to Portland where our fantail started to drift into the opened draw bridge which caught our aft mast and tore it down causing millions in damage.
I was on the helm for this which caused a Navy investigation for the cause of it in which I was interrogated for a couple hours. They couldn’t put blame on me, or the conning officer or the OD, or the port’s pilot because we were under tug boat power at the time. The tug boats failed to back down and prevent the fantail from drifting towards the opened bridge.
My point is, there’s no way I’d ever buy such a ridiculous story that the wind blew the ship into the side of the canal, not unless the ship lost power to their steering, but even if they loss power to control their rudder, it would be done manually from after steering, it would be hard this way and slow, but we had drills doing this many times in after steering, merchants ships also do the same.

Very interesting!
Unfortunately for you, stats debunking your masquerade are readily available.
The U.S. Navy’s largest modern day ships are aircraft carriers, which dwarf those you may have piloted during the 1980s.
These modern carriers are shorter than the Ever Given and displace less than half the tonnage when fully loaded (100K vs 220K).
Since your opening declarations are outright falsehoods, discerning minds dismiss everything that follows as equally unworthy of belief.
gg
So the Ever Given was a couple hundred feet at 1300 feet longer than the longest ship I was on, didn’t realize she was largest cargo ship in the world, same concept with massive tonnage ships, no wind is going to blow them into the side of the canal. I was on the helm during unreps where the water gets extremely rough between the two ships, and you have to keep almost on perfect course, drift to the starboard too much break the span wire which could sling back like a rubber band ripping anyone who came in contact in half. Swing too much to the port side and you’d collide with the other ship causing major damage and possible loss of life. The repair ship USS Jason did exactly this while unrepping with an oiler in the late 80s ripping a massive whole in her and killing some chiefs while they were in the chiefs mess. My point is, even in these hairy and rough seas the ship is kept on course. No wind is going to blow her into the side of a canal.
Nothing you stated debunks me, anything about carriers has nothing to do with what I stated. You’re a complete fucking loon, don’t waste my time with your asinine shit.
Nothing you stated debunks me
lol
I was being kind. I should have been more direct. You are a liar. A liar. Worse than that, you are an untalented and lazy liar. You couldn’t be bothered to fact check your own bogus, lying claims before posting here, which made it easy for me to out you as a LIAR.
You offered lies. I debunked them with irrefutable facts.
Now is a good time for you to stop making a public disgrace of yourself and those unfortunate to bear your name.
