The United State House of Representatives is expected to vote on “universal background check” legislation, H.R. 8, as early as next week. This bill is actually the criminalization of the private transfer of firearms. The Biden administration and its Congressional allies are attempting to quickly move these two innocuous sounding bills to establish precedent for an attempt later this year at establishing a new ban on modern rifles, magazine capacity limits, excise taxes on gun ownership, a ban on online sale of firearms and ammunition, and the elimination of liability protections for manufacturers.
