The United State House of Representatives is expected to vote on “universal background check” legislation, H.R. 8, as early as next week. This bill is actually the criminalization of the private transfer of firearms. The House may also vote on the “Charleston Loophole” bill, which would allow the federal government to indefinitely delay a firearms transfer without supplying proof that the person receiving the firearm is prohibited from doing so.

“Universal background check” legislation reintroduced by Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA) would criminalize the private transfer of firearms and targets gun owners for persecution. It could make criminals out of law-abiding gun owners for simply loaning a firearm to a friend or some family members.

Background checks do not stop criminals. The vast majority of firearms used in crimes are obtained through theft or straw purchases rather than by lawful methods. This legislation is not focused at crime prevention. It is focused on restraining legal gun ownership. The real purpose behind H.R. 8 is to facility a national firearm registry, something gun control proponents have long wished for and have already proposed.

The Biden administration and its Congressional allies are attempting to quickly move these two innocuous sounding bills to establish precedent for an attempt later this year at establishing a new ban on modern rifles, magazine capacity limits, excise taxes on gun ownership, a ban on online sale of firearms and ammunition, and the elimination of liability protections for manufacturers. It’s up to each of us to stop them.

They can go ahead and keep that.

LOL! What ammunition? The way ammo is getting so difficult to obtain, guns are soon going to be as dangerous as kitchen chairs. At least you'll still be able to knock a person out with one if you hit them right. A potato launcher will be the next best home defense.

Online ammo is very easy to obtain. Lakeshore ammo had no issues with my order. i do though I prefer guns not registered to own though. Got does not need to know what I own so they can form a grab plan

Most of which is cheap ass fmj, very dirty ammo.

One should have never allowed the "need ammo" thing to take root.

HR 8 is coming

And you will do nothing about it. Why bother posting?

[–] 2 pts

It's to alert people about it, in which I am receptive to. The choice is yours as to what you will do.

[–] 0 pt

Nor will you! But I try to let people know what's up.
