Schweppes is usually assayed at around 68 mg per liter, canada dry 63mg, and generics can be as low as 50 or lower. It is possible that some manufacturers have lowered the quinine content in the last year due to the increase in demand. But I use 60 or 65 as an estimate.
If you are comparing to actual dosing regimes, remember that quinine sulfate and quinine hydrochloride are about 90% quinine, so take that into account. So two bottles a day is maybe 1/8 of what they would give you in the hospital for quinine resistant malaria. At that dosage there are a lot of side effects and apparently the HCQ profile is a little better. They are both risky at those doses for the old people set however, because of the qt prolongation.
I think at doses around 300 or 400 hundred should be safe for most people and up to 600 for younger people, but at that point we are talking about as much as ten liters of tonic which is fucking ridiculous. You cant even boil it down because you destroy the quinine.

All you really need to do is slow down the viral replication rate for the 1st week of symptoms until your immune system starts producing antibodies. The reason people get so sick is because the viral replication is outpacing the production of antibodies and immune cells around that period.
The severity of covid 19 is highly variable. Besides underlying age/health there are other factors determining this. Some people have already had exposure to a similar virus called oc-43 which is causing as much 1/3 of the population to have some previous immunity to covid. Also the amount of virus inhaled is to a large extent driving the severity if the infection.
If you did not inhale much virus your case will be less severe.

The PCR tests are not faulty, they are being used out of context. People who dont understand what information the PCR test is giving them can be confused by the results.
People whose samples test positve a 30 cycles of amplification of the pcr can produce a positive culture of sars cov 2 in a petri dish 80% of the time. Samples that test positive at only 35 cycles can only be cultured about 3 %.
That is because your likelihood of getting an infection can be modelled as a probability based on the quantity of virus you inhale. At 35 cycles of amplification, people are testing positive for trace amounts of virus unlikely to cause an infection.
Negative at 35 cycles largely rules out the possibility of infection. Positive at 30 cycles or less makes probability of infection highly likely. They should be giving people that information.
