I am in California where mask-wearing is mandated indoors everywhere, but I avoid them whenever I can: --my dad and I walked into our lawyer's office today, Neither he nor his legal secretary were wearing masks. They asked if we would like them to put theirs on. We instead took ours off. We discussed how facial expression is such an important part of communication.
>"... walked into our lawyer's office today, ..."
I hope you had you hand covering your wallet. Hey, you could even use that mask to tie to your belt loop.
I think I understand the gist of that comment so, not all lawyers are Jews.
Something tells me he and his dad are business owners that were at their regular lawyer for menial shit. I could be wrong though.
No one alluded to that. Just like bagels having holes to save some dough. Ya' can't just go there.
This may be hard to believe, but I actually think this particular lawyer is a pretty good guy. He's in his seventies, retired some years ago from being a city attorney in a small town. I only need him to help me file a real estate transfer since my mom passed away.
My sincere condolences to your loss. I didn't mean to get deep into it. Living with a lawyer for many years and having helped her pass the bar has opened my eyes to many things. Anyway, persevere in your endeavor and good tidings to you with your lawyer.
So why the fuck were you wearing a mask at all? Who issued a mandate? Did you read the mandate on the state's website? Is it a legal mandate? Did you read the guidelines on the health department's website? No? Why not? Shame on you for not upholding standards. I refuse to wear a mask and every red blooded patriotic American should also. Wearing a mask is a sign of submission.
Thank you, and I agree with you, but although it is not a legislative mandate, this is California and there are signs posted on the outside of every building, indicating that you are not allowed to enter unless wearing a mask. These "public health orders" are enforced by the owners and tenants of private property, and they actually do have a right to legally refuse entry to their own private premises for any reason. These business operators enforce mask wearing due to their fear that they can be shut down by authorities and I must forgive them for their error. I would never wear a mask otherwise. Incidentally, what I do wear over my face is not a mask, it is an arabian style koffiyeh,or shemag (tactical scarf or headcovering typically worn for protection against harsh sun and blowing sand).
Legislative mandate? Not law? Did you even check? Your ignorance is astounding. You've never read the "guidelines" have you? Why not just go read and then post the guidelines.
Show me who voted on this "mandate". You have no idea how the law works.
Go listen to Peggy Hall. She knows the law well enough and all the details. You know nothing and have shown astounding ignorance of the law.
