The senate should have jurisdiction to impeach a former president

Are you okay with impeaching Carter now for the Iran hostage situation? Are you okay impeaching Bush2 now for invading Iraq over bogus WMDs? How about Hussein over Fast & Furious, or cash to Iran, or etc., etc.

Or should we rely on the civil and criminal justice system? Or the military justice system?

Is this impeachment really that much more important than the other problems those Senators could be addressing?
