Patriot, Impeachment was only designed to remove a sitting president from doing more harm, if they are out of office it becomes a mute point.
Exactly. If they could have impeached Nixon after he left, they would have. That's been the precedent until today.
It's got the typical shortsightedness you see in liberals frequently. It's still not going to float. 6 Republicans gave them the half they needed to proceed. It will take 2/3 to convict.
Still, regardless of outcome, Congress has opened up all living ex Presidents to the same procedure. One would assume that upon conviction, they loose the ex Prez perks.
Exactly Patriot, now Tricky Dick did need a pardon because he still could have been charged as a private citizen.
The Republic and the Constitution will be restored, as these people will be examples of what Sedition and or Treason will bring.
And they just handed us another weapon once they miss their shot again.
