How do you know these people you've met have really had the experiences they claim? Hypnosis is a powerful thing.
Meeting people who tell fantastic stories or hearing them talk on popular alternative radio shows is one thing, but understanding the history, methods, purpose of all this will reveal that there's more going on than even these first-hand experiencers realize, and it's not good to fall for their crap.
If they really have a problem with it, they shouldn't be letting themselves be used for entertainment, but should talk to a psychologist or deprogrammer instead. Promoting their experiences as fact just encourages others to fall into the purpose of it all. And getting close to these people and their situation on a personal level can be very dangerous. They're usually tied to groups that are being conducted/controlled by powerful people with dark motives, and will draw you in as well if you're susceptible to believing in these things and are inquisitive. The people/groups appear perfectly tame and the techniques used are unnoticeable. The reason people like Parkes are out there are usually to draw in the inquisitive and look for good candidates for programming.
This is real shit and it's very sophisticated. It's better that you study it with an open mind to it's ultimate purpose, and not be so willing to just accept it as it's presented from the start. Nothing wrong with withholding belief and questioning everything from a point of doubt. You won't be easily fooled that way.
I don't "know" anything for sure. Hence the need for an open, non-judgmental mind. I don't discount anything completely until I know for myself. I respect your opinion but, because it differs from mine, doesn't mean I'm wrong. When I learn new things, my views will change. That's how it works for me. I don't know the man. Like I said. I would like to spend a good bit of time with him. I've had schizo friends and liar friends and that becomes obvious while you hang around them. I'll not judge Parkes harshly until I roll with him a bit.
I have met a man and his family who've 100% had experiences with non-human entities and have since been harassed by goons and people trying to smear them and shut them up.So much so that they had to move away from the property where the events occurred. I don't doubt them at all. A name that's rather famous among UFO enthusiasts and experiencers. They lived close to us and my mother had connected with them online. We visited them several times and spent hours discussing the issue. Very real and very frightening for his whole family. Their's is just one of many people with extremely bizarre things happening to them.
Automatically doubting people is what I try not to do. I feel it creates a blind spot. Imagine what you could get away with if you were an alien entity and knew humans simply did not believe you existed. Wide open playing field with little to worry about. That's the blind spot I try to avoid.
Parkes might be batshit crazy. He might be telling the absolute truth. I don't know for sure. Giving him the benefit of the doubt.

They made themselves popular based on their alleged experiences, and should have expected the consequences. Using the victimization stance is all part of the game. Looking deeper, perhaps they weren't 'attacked', but instead painted it that way when they weren't believed and others went as public with their opinions as they did. Who knows? It doesn't stop me from talking about this and saying what I do about Simon Parkes.

Doubting people or the facts they claim is just as well. If you don't doubt, you're not asking yourself the questions that should be asked before accepting what you're being told. That's the difference between a smart person and a fool.

On the contrary, imagine what they could get away with if everybody just believed the stories that these people tell, without using some intelligent analysis and considering other scenarios. We can't just ignore the fact that Tavistock and MKULTRA were/are using hypnosis and cover memories to hide their programming. Other 'abductees' and programming victims who have been deprogrammed will attest to the fact that this is the case. The elitists who run the major secret societies, including the Freemasons, Rosicrucians, etc. have been exploring and using these methods for a very long time to create a network of programmed diciples for their own use in introducing a one-world religion based on the beliefs we hear from these victims. It seems very apparent that Parkes is one of these.
