There is reward in Heaven for Godly life, tho' reward is not the motivator. It certainly is to be a testimony while upon this earth to do good to bring glory to God, so that folks give Him praise and perhaps are inspired by good example and in turn might desire to "get" what we have: relationship with a loving, merciful God. That He recognize us as His children, having surrendered to Him is already a daily blessing. " We need to work while it is still light, for soon it will be dark when no one can work." This is to give people hope and encouragement, especially now when that which is not good but decidedly evil is running rampant., without any earthly consequence. We are the counterculture. One day, to simply hear: 'Well done, good and faithful servant." would be recognition enough. He see the good you do and encourages you to do more of the same, in His Name. Every day we can't help thank Him for His Mercy. "Faith without works is dead", but the motivation of works is to give testimony of His influence in our lives, and also testifies that we are salt and light to a perishing world. Not necessary to win or keep salvation, but proof of being His. The child imitates the Father. Godspeed.
