They are genetically similar to us in many ways. But we have been evolutionarily divergent from chimps for about 6 million years. Humans have been diverging for between 150,000 and 2 million years. Our earliest common ancestor lived 2 million years ago. Our latest common ancestor lived 150,000 years ago. Africans and other equitorial people have smaller heads than whites and east asians. This is because large heads carry too much heat in tropical environments. Whites and East Asians have 10% larger brain volume which does correlate to IQ. Violence and sexual libido are also directly linked to melanin production. This is true in many species. This is because the melanocortin hormone system is turned on in the spring leading to increased melanin, and mating, and violent competition for mates among males. This is why darker pigmented animals (including humans) have higher sex drive and higher levels of violence. There are dozens of peer reviewed studies on this subject. The “warrior gene” is an allele of the gene responsible for production of the neurotransmitter monoamine A. This version of the gene is associated with extrodinairily high levels of violence compared to the 2 other alleles. The warrior gene is very common among violent prisoners. It is almost absent among whites and asians and its highest frequency is among africans at around 5%. This means at least 5% of africans are highly likely to be violent.
