In fairness, that came out in August 2020. I'm a doc and I gave HCQ/Doxycycline/Zinc/Vitamin D/baby aspirin/multivitamin to my 16 year-old son when he got Covid the day after Christmas. I got sick with it the day before, and I got Regeneron. My mother also got Regeneron. My mother and I also took HCQ/Zinc/Aspirin/Vitamin D/multivitamin.
My son got a little sick, but never seriously, and was better within 5 days. My mother got a little sicker, but thanks to Regeneron, began to improve within 24 hours and was fine within 3 days. I got sick as hell, think I would have died without Regeneron, but once treated, was better within 3 days. Residually, we all get winded a little easier and need a bit more sleep, even a month out, but that is largely due to deconditioning.
My wife and daughter never got the virus. Once we knew we were infected, we stayed away from them.
This article in the AJM was published in January 2021. Yes, many doctors wisely gave patients HCQ. Imagine how many lives would have been saved if the medical establishment had supported the use of HCQ.
You’re right. It was published in their general journal in January 2021. It was published in their premium open access journal in August 2020.
How strange. It didn't seem to get a lot of press. Thanks for the clarification!
