I don’t know I bet he knows how to scrap a little bit. He looks like one of those pesky guys who doesn’t really take care of himself but he’s been through it enough times that he knows how to throw punch just out of his eagerness. He looks like he’d be fun to fight. I hated trying to train those guys though. They really didn’t listen. Uncoachable. But a lot of fun.

true. sometimes all it takes is the haymaker that lands on a low-hangin' jaw and it's good night, nurse!

Yup

Agreed about the KR assessment, and know the type well. Was one.

Tossed off inner city YMCA boxing team after many warnings and many more asskicking ‘educational rounds’. Totally incorrigible in terms fight discipline. One jab gets through - one face tag - then it’s on! In my angry young world a fight was a fight and rules were only loose suggestions.

Military years brought me around. Adequately trained now, I look back at young me and smh. I can’t remember the names of any of the YMCA coaches now, but I do see they were much more patient with me than I had any right to expect. God bless those fine men.

Kid may have a similar backstory, but without the benefit of military years.
