The who reduced the cycle count
To what? 30?
The thing about the cycle count, hear me out.
35 cycles might be a good number if you are trying to identify people who could posssibly be infectious. This makes sense if you are boarding an airplane or caring for seniors in a nursing home.
30 cycles is better if you want to identify someone who is probably infectious. If you tell someone who tested possitive only at 35 cycles that they have a covid case, that is stupid. In this instance you are over-estimating real covid infections and giving the person false sense of security that they have immunity.
Ok, but the WHO stated that to be COVID-19 case, you have to show symptoms and have two positive tests.
What happens the number of case drop precipitously.
Who is actually counting cases? Not who. What are their definitions of a case?
NJ Governor Murphy follows the WHO guidelines.
