The ultimate goal of this technology is the death of people with a certain gene base. This achieved one of the few negative technology scores in a military effort. Still, others (CIA, DS, etc.) I am sure thought it was an idea worth pursuing. COVID puts the OK or even heroic sign on the technology that can easily run amok.
