Then again, I was in the Navy for 4 years. Captains and above are pure political animals. I can see them selling out. I doubt that the Army is any better. The Navy has more admirals than ships.

I do have some hope in the marines. They are marines forever.

Never knew any special forces guys.

You looking for an in depth analysis, or what? I was Navy, drafted 1965, three WestPacs (sort of; the middle one was a year in HC-7 Det 110, flying Combat Search And Rescue, 1st crewman, one of four fully trained - the rest were partial). I wondered why the msm was saying the US lost the war from the time I got back end of 68. So I've done my research and kept up over the last 50 years. No, I'm not one of those who can't work a phone - I was an electronics engineer for many years in CA, Silicon Valley included.

A short answer. During obummer, the Jarheads conducted a survey of enlisted. The results of that survey were that 44% of the EM would fire on Americans; in that category, most were non-white. Since that survey (2014, if memory serves) the DSers decided the mil could not be relied upon for their purposes of suppression of Americans. Most will follow orders up to that point.

Now, it's different, to some degree. The mil has returned to more like it was when I was in: only under dire circumstance will they fire on Americans. Officers, of course, are a different story, being as OP has said. BUT, you MUST remember (or understand, whichever) that the military is run by EM, not by officers. If Gunny says fire, they'll fire, but Gunny is an American, not some UN goon. If Lt gives an order and Gunny doesn't like it, Lt gets fragged.

Also, know that there are some 20 million vets; those vets are generally going to be anti-DS, and our current mil would be hard pressed to defeat those vets. Besides that, there are another 60 million Redneck types, and roughly 40% have been training off and on with the vets that are still interested (most).

In the cue aspect, odds are high that those people are patriots, and those who follow them are also. Based on those things, I'm inclined to have about 80% trust in the military. Doesn't mean I won't shoot those who attempt to take my freedoms.

Thank you, for your service and your information.
