I'm almost willing to bet that "it" will all be over by the 20th. I don't know that Trump will be inaugurated but I'm pretty sure that Biden WON'T.
And I don't know where that leaves us as a country. Eventually, better off. But on the 20th?? Unsure.

As small as the chance is, I don't think we can definitively say Biden won't be inaugurated. I can imagine a world where he's left as the president of an abandoned US Corporation.
However, I will say I am totally with you, I can't imagine where that would leave us as a country. I fully expect things to happen before this 20th deadline, and think that "it" will be over like you said.

Our propaganda machines will tell us how well the inauguration went because all threats from white nationalists were neutralized. And to not be shocked if you see your neighbor carted off because there's a lot of antidemocracy, antisemite, hate filled people that are planning future attacks, but the government will help take care of them.
Those who aren't carted off will continue to be further polarized from everyone else who truly believes the propaganda. They'll watch as the world fulfills all the agendas we know are coming.

Q is legit and the Deep State is about to get squashed. Military takes control, and eventually Trump is sworn in.
Q is a black hat psy-op and the NG build up around the Capitol is a set up to put down the false flag insurrection that is about to take place by Deep State actors posing as Trump supporters. That will lead to a purging of ALL things Trump across the country. Trump supporters will become quasi-terrorists in the mind of the sheeple, due to mass scale brainwashing from Tech and the MSM.
These are the only two scenarios that exist.
