1 Peter 4:12-13 NIV Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

God is more concerned with our eternal souls than to give us a nice life here on Earth. He has already given his only Son who shed his blood to redeem our souls.

Our home is in the heavenly realm. We are merely ambassadors here on earth to do God's will and to glorify God.
