1 Peter 4:12-13 NIV Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

Good stuff. I would also remind folks that the creator of the heavens and the earth at one time was comfortably sleeping in a boat when a raging storm came. Not a worry in the world.

"But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm." -Luke 8:23-24

God is more concerned with our eternal souls than to give us a nice life here on Earth. He has already given his only Son who shed his blood to redeem our souls.

Our home is in the heavenly realm. We are merely ambassadors here on earth to do God's will and to glorify God.
