With the statement from the Mozilla CEO yesterday, badmouthing Patriots, I will be dumping Firefox browser today after 15 years of use. (yes I switched to them that early).

Quick searches have led me to Waterfox as my new choice, but Im looking for y'all to add guidance and insight as to its safety, etc.

Any advice?

Besides... just read the waterfox wiki (i know, dont even say it) and looks like they operate under a mozilla license anyway, so switching accomplishes nothing.

Mozilla survives based on donations which means they aren't a relevant tech company. Better to use firefox than google chrome or microsoft edge. Just avoid using firefox with google and microsoft search engines because that's how they all make money. Use an ad-blocker and tweak your privacy settings so they can't harvest and sell your data.
