You're correct about Cooper. I remember his shortwave broadcasts from back in the day.
Another fella who can give the unvarnished backstory on jones is John Stadmiller, the head honcho at Republic Broadcasting (republicbroadcasting.org). They used to work together, back in jones' public access TV days.
