I was watching the Senate Debates live.. Grassley was the one they ( Security ) escorted out.. I noticed pence had left prior.

But since Grassley is NOT the VP, he does not have the same POWERS to choose which Electors to accept.

Grassley would be strictly ceremonial.

If POTUS appointment defaults, Pelosi's position is unknown, Grassley becomes acting POTUS. With all powers and privileges.

I'm not saying the appointment has defaulted. I'm just clarifying the legal order of succession. If for whatever reason, this doesn't get done in the lawfully appointed period, Grassley becomes the man.
