Finally, after the death of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 and the resulting vice-presidential vacancy, Congress debated a constitutional amendment related to the structure of the vice presidency. In 1967 the Twenty-fifth Amendment, addressing presidential vacancy and disability, became part of our Constitution. The absence of any provision for filling a vice-presidential vacancy had become intolerable in the modern era. Added impetus for the change came from a growing public concern at the time about the advanced ages of President pro tempore Carl Hayden, who was 80, and House Speaker John W. McCormack, who was 76. The amendment states that the president may appoint a vice president to fill a vacancy in that office, subject to approval by both houses of Congress.sheeeit!

We don't have enough time for that. Unless they delay the 6th.

"Acting" Vice President. House and Senate confirmations pending. Flynn.

I'm all in for Flynn! Flynn is who we need for 8 years after POTUS's 8 year run. First POTUS burns down the infested house, then Flynn goes after all the embers sent into the air.

Yes, "acting' IS the important word for those saying there's not enough time. He could name anyone immediately who could then immediatlely start implementing the duties of the office without question. I mean, it IS possible.

Trump has used "temps" to great advantage in the past. You get your guy in position with full "acting" authority and dodge congressional oversight for 160 days or so.

The left will just say he doesn't have the full power of VP, which can only be granted after Congressional approval? Asking for a friend.

The 20th is the only hard deadline.

Actually the original inauguration date was March 4th. What's possible is a return to the original constitutional date. Not saying it will happen, but the dates are not chiseled in stone. The evil doers are so corrupt they will not simply hand over the election to the rightful winner President Trump. We will take our country back and it may take the military to do it on our behalf. We must stay together. https://youtu.be/HPJndedRzOw

Even that may not be cast in stone. The original inauguration day was March 4th. The 20th Amendment changed that in 1933. Could get crazy. Lets hope January proves fruitful for our Patriot cause.
