The House on Monday passed legislation that would increase the amount of direct payments in the recently signed coronavirus relief package from $600 to $2,000.

The bill passed in a 275-134 vote, with support from 44 Republicans. It needed a two-thirds majority under the procedures that were used for consideration.

The measure faces an uphill battle in the GOP-controlled Senate. Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), a member of Senate Republican leadership, said last week that he didn’t think a bill to increase the stimulus checks to $2,000 could pass in the upper chamber

As Speaker of the House, Pelosi was there for the vote. Just mentioning this because there has been some speculation with no evidence that she was taken into custody last week.

Well Nomoss I wish I knew for sure, its very difficult to determine the truth these days. Fox radio early this morning talked about her and the vote and played a short clip with her voice on it. The Speaker has to be present to call the vote, that just makes sense. I try to avoid lying MSM but was curious and watched Fox News later in the morning and they showed a vid clip of her slamming her gavel after the bill was passed. Now here is the thing, I don't put anything past the MSM not using old voice clips or file videos of Pelosi to give the appearance of normality. Nonetheless, my common sense tells me that Pelosi had to be there to conduct the proceedings and declare the bill passed, that's all I am suggesting. What do you think?

Remember everything with a little salt. At this point who knows what's up
