This is a bit of a long rant. I is mostly due to just watching https://poal.co/s/QStorm/236917 . I don’t think things are at a breaking point atm. However I think that they are on an accelerating downward spiral. Unless something major happens just after the New Year, I don't think Trump will make it through re-election. This means that the policies of the democrats are going to be ramped up to benefit specific areas of population. This will cause severe resentment in the remainder. I think the primary issues are then going to be the huge structural difference between the have's and have nots ie: 1) luxurious life style and shit do I have enough to eat. 2) those above the law and the prosecution of people for ridiculous reasons, just because they are part of the other. 3) higher taxation to fund those unwilling to work or contribute to society. If nothing is done to curb the voter corruption that was apparent in this election then that is what I believe will open but not necessarily ignite the powder keg. If the same level of corruption occurs in the next presidential election, that is when I believe that massive riots will erupt igniting the powder keg. So I may be talking out of my arse due to the complacency of the general population but once social media cements their grip on media it will be unlikely that this complacency will go away. There is one solution that I hope occurs which is launching a third political party, (Patriot party???) consisting of the Trump supporters and middle of the roaders and the middle left. A party consisting of mostly centrists. I think Trump tried to reform the republican party, but he failed. Even though I am not an American my concern is that where the USA goes a lot of the Western civilisations will follow. I read widely and while I think Trump has his issues, he is supportive of the average citizen where it is very apparent that the democrats are as greedy as shit and will do anything to get reelected and thus keep their snouts in the trough. It is the level of greed and corruption that will ignite the keg. It really comes down to a matter of when. \ Edit See @peemee link below.
