It says "failure to act by Monday" in one of the articles, so if we count Monday, the 28th, Jan 6 would be day 10.

Does anyone believe there is an actual shutdown? Nah, this is just theater. It's how they convince you the pressure is high enough that the regular partisan show doesn't matter. See how it gets both groups the out. We're in such a stalemate we have to shut down! Now you're hijacked America...whatever we'd been "fighting" over has to happen now, with whatever sneaky little caveats and amendments are necessary.

Give the plebs a fight to watch, and rather than realizing they're getting fucked by a giant expensive dildo, they'll jump on Facebook and shout: "muh democrats, you sister fucker", or "muh 'publicans, you cuck!".
