Voat has probably finally served it's purpose. A few key users deleted their accounts yesterday so I anticipated something interesting today. Could be nothing (as usual) other than a few days of nobody at the helm, or could finally be closing up shop. User behavior lately has taken a turn for the worse, as far as keeping services accessible in the US goes.

I'm not surprised, but I would be disappointed.

I saw a thread at Voat where they were discussing people that had deleted their accounts recently, they were saying many of the deleted accounts were popular posters. Made me wonder.

UPDATE:

I just received this from a friend who is a retired military officer, and gets tips, from time to time, from his friends still in the military:

As a side note, I hear a lot of internet platforms are going to be brought down on Monday (1/13/2020).

There is a reason for it, now that impeachment is about to start.

Going to be a fun week next week.

I suspect Voat is toast for a while and lot of other platforms are going away starting Monday and its possible the Q site will go down as well.

Get ready.

So, who knows, Poal might be taken too......but I hope not.

Just wanted to alert everyone, so they can be prepared.

Fuck voat im done with it just as I said goodbye to facebook and reddit, I might look about gossip or news about some site once in a while but you always get the feeling when some place is dead. I dont know much of computers but i have instinct not to be too dumb. If anyone wants to know some voat drama I have an old account there, I can peak inside even when its down, you need to have the voat address, some stuff saved maybe the cookie the url in your drive already, there are other doors that show its front pages and all I see now is a bunch of spam, soap box drama stuff fags masons commie gay shit 'targeted individuals' there is also a lot of traffic and pornography spam happening, the Q anon post and pizzagate was getting hit by spam crap for months, maybe people were getting paid to hit voat. That voat sit hasnt been the same in months maybe years and Like I said you know when some place is gone, never be the same place again, so fuck voat.
