This case is a shitshow. If he was just a jogger why would he attack a guy holding a shotgun? Was he really 12 miles from home wearing work boots? What’s up with the hammer? What priors did Arbery have? Why would three men just up and chase after a guy with loaded weapons? Normal people don’t walk into random jobsites and snoop around unless they are neighbors and talk to the contractor first. None of it makes sense to me. If Arbery just stopped and waited for police to arrive he wouldn’t be dead.

I think @Shamus is right. This case looks like a mess. Nothing about it feels organic.

The most comprehensive bit of writing on this is a wikipedia entry, (en.wikipedia.org) that if assumed to not be in gross error, hints that there's more going on than a few hard working men defending themselves. I also find it odd that the elder McMichael's worked with the local police/district court as an investigator, had some involvement with the late and perforated Mr. Arbery in that capacity, but the D.A. didn't make sure the local departments processed this by the book for over two months. The state took over the case and moved it to another district. That doesn't bode well at all. I remember a lot of that going on with organized crime cases in the north east.

This is a distraction from the Flynn case. That’s all there is to it.
