Why a tech company releases any patch without a team on standby 24hrs to handle situations like this is absolutely insane. They deserve this for their own incompetence.

Crowdstrike fucked an update and disabled hundreds of millions PCs globally for something like 8 hours.

It would be cool if the rewritten version were done in a lossless way that it could be converted back to the original code with some reverse transformation.
