What's worse is the extremely weak passwords people put on the vehicles internal network.
I run a pwnagotchi for fun when I go to town. I don't even bother trying to park close to the buildings anymore. I park where there is lots of newer vehicles. As soon as someone comes out to get in their car... BOOM! I get the wifi handshake when their phone connects to the car... Works with Flipper Zero + Marauder as well, but pwnagotchi is cooler, supports 5 GHz, and is automatic.
If I was a devious person I could take this further now that I have access to their vehicles network. But I'm not and I don't. I mostly just like to see the different AP names and passwords people use. Some are pretty funny...
Didn't know about that project. Thanks for the heads up.
The original project is long dead, but there are a few forks out there updated for the new pi zero 2 w and the pi4.
This is one of the better forks https://github.com/aluminum-ice/pwnagotchi
Thanks. Appreciate it.
