Whenever I visit people's home, I always ask if they have an Alexa or Google speaker. This prompts them to ask why and I respond with I prefer if it is unplugged while I'm here, otherwise I have to be very careful of what I say. This usually starts an interesting conversation. They always unplug it for me. It's also not controversial because I don't start out with it's spying on us or anything. It gets them thinking about something they hadn't considered.

Amazon possibly not likely facing multiple federal antitrust lawsuits

If my memory serves me right, the last anti-trust breakup was AT&T. This is going nowhere.

acquiring iRobot will add to Amazon’s control in the connected home devices market, raise privacy risks and increase the company’s control over consumer data.

Naw, trust the science, this is safe and effective.

Cloud computing businesses, namely those of Amazon and Microsoft, are under scrutiny by U.K.

Of course, the official word will be everything is fine, it's safe and effective.

I was going to list all of Amazon's acquisitions, but there were over 115 of them. I'm sure there are more too. Wikipedia has a big list.
