Unless you can change your IP and obfuscate or spoof your device ID, I don't see anything special about this thing.
Seems like a trojan horse phone. It's probably got C_A/F_I baked right into it. Additionally, it still uses the Big Tech mobile phone infrastructure so I'd hardly called it "uncensorable" or "private".
You are correct. Telecom specially does not enable call encryption because state players require intercept capabilities.
