I have two firefox iterations and a couple other browsers but what I do in one FF affects the other (I do use a paid vpn). I don't use chrome nor ms edge as I'm on a non win 10 o.s. I'm thinking about a portable browser on a smart card (I break too many usb sticks). I've never setup a VM and I'm not sure that would accomplish what I want...

I keep my berg life away from my poal life.

There was a browser called K-meleon back in the day which was awesome but...too unique- I want something fairly vanilla...

Any suggestions or advice?

Vanilla is good to stop fingerprinting, if you don't use JS blockers

You know I thought about that; I could give that a try...I have two versions of FF and a browser that is built on mozilla core. I turned off the automatic updates in my newest ff by adding a key to the win registry. *It affects all versions of mozilla/firefox" browsers.

"your organization has disabled the ability to change some options" shows up in all mozilla related products on my desktop. So that's why I haven't tried profiles yet.
