no such thing as an assault weapon*
Single action, semi auto, and full auto doesnt sound scary though
There is but they're prohibitively expensive and require a $200 tax stamp with more restrictions than a standard firearm.
US military disagrees. While there isn't anything codified in law yet (federally), the military definition is what will probably be what is used, and states that have defined it are similar to the military definition.
Many Politicians like Feinstein have already introduced legislation which codifies 'Assault weapon', iirc '... as any firearm, able to rapidly fire a projectile with each pull of the trigger and having a magazine capacity of larger than 5 cartridges, that can be quickly changed out'. It's the MSM purposely muddying the public's perception about what it means, as obfuscating the real purpose of 'gun control' in a way even dumb useless normies would understand would cause too much vocal opposition - before it's too late and the legislation can pass. Virtually everything but a single shot / bolt action/ pump action shotgun or black powder long rifle and no larger than 5 shot/ magazines.
repeating what was said is hardly "MSM purposely muddying the public's perception about what it means"
Since when? Assault rifle is used to refer to a rifle capable of full auto.
