It’s almost a loaded question, how do you make a decision about bias without bias? You have a bias to not use bias. My bias, I’ll trust my gut.
That said, you’d be foolish to relax around blacks. That’s an instant decision. And somehow, most of us understand when I say, “every single time.” Which is more long term, and equally biased.
This stems from bias training, that many of us were recently forced to take at work. In a business setting, I’ll say this unequivocally, be bias in every situation with a smile.
Quite so. However, what if your hypothetical bias was something contrary til how things really are? Then it’d be a bit of a problem if you were bound to it.
Adaptability is everything. Fail to adapt; you die.
This doesn’t mean that you should be a nebulous cloud of “something”; it merely means that you shouldn’t let arrogance guide you.
