A Constitutional Convention is a horrid idea, sorry. They will get rid of free speech and the right to bear arms. So until we get the liberals out of power it's a big fat fucking NO.
Use Vlad tactics.
Call a Constitutional Convention, and then have two large halls - one for conservatives and one for liberals. Feed them well, entertain them, and then lock the doors and burn them both down.
Rinse and repeat until there are only freedom loving people left that will attend.
Took me a second to realize that "Vlad tactics" didn't mean to stall after every question by telling a sob story about having been a poor boy in Bulgaria
Having relatives from Romania, there is only one Vlad in my mind :)
