the war was about to strengthen the role of the united nations. mcarthur wanted to destroy north korea and communist china but the upper management at the civilian side of the presidency and pentagon tied his hands

same happened in vietnam, same in world war 2 but all these wars were fought to strengthens the U.N as supra national political entity that should be the arbiter in the political affairs of nations

and yet the hole goes way deeper when you find out who and what founded the U.N
