It looks to be the case that it was. From one of the video's of the shooting that shows the gun peering from outside the corner and then firing you can see on the arm of the gun a particular bracelet around the wrist. Internet autists (god rest their souls) pieced together from the many times this guy has appeared in public that he is wearing that same bracelet in all of his public appearances.
