Not about the buying itself. That's all well and good. What I'm worried about is the hedge fund managers themselves. They're cornered rats right now and their clients aren't just other financiers, but politicians too. They're angry and they're desperate. In situations such as this, their number one tool is to change the subject. When Occupy Wall Street happened, the establishment changed the subject to racism and other such retardation. However, since everyone is so numb to that now, it's not going to work. That's the part that I'm worried about. Without the ability to divide the populous, the only other tool they have is violence and terror. Don't be surprised if a mass shooting or some kind of terrorist attack happens in the next few days to draw everyone's attention onto something else. These psychopaths will do anything to maintain their power. Nothing is off limits. Stay focused and stay vigilant my dudes.

breaks my balls no one sees this except random boards on the web. Can't find a person who can see thru this IRL. Last American Vagabond hinted something like this would be coupled with a "cyber attack" to justify the state taking over trading apps and what not for a digital currency.

Citizens do not have the capital to move a 12B market cap stock, period.

There was that tweet thread that explained how Citadel (I think) used Robinhood trades to jump ahead of the line for buys.

So if a redditor put in a buy order for 10 shares of GME on Robinhood, Citadel saw that order a few milliseconds before the order went through, and placed an order for 100 (or some other number) to catch the lower price before the buy went through.

Multiply that by a million WSB orders, and now Citadel has a huge position in GME.

Also, the WSB guys got in at lower prices, and made 10x or 20x, maybe even 30x etc.

Assuming GME boosted to $30B market share, that is only a $1B starting point, and a million WSB investors might be able to put that together.

I still think there was kike fuckery behind the scenes (as always), but the intent of WSB might be plausible.

They could have been the catalyst but the citadel multiplying trades makes sense - they would need to go long to cover their shorts. WSB just hit 1m subs, not even 10% invest I bet (i don't trade with them and sub) and most austists trade a few contracts,

Only a few yolo tens of thousands and only a FEW yolo hundreds of thou$ands.

6 million subs last I checked.

No joke. But a beautiful number in the context.

What if Robinhood pissed off the guy who was supposed to make those buys milliseconds before the trader buys? “Well, I don’t get my bonus? We’ll see about that....” A disgruntled employee can be devastating.

Why not? Even if only 5% of the population bought 2 shares each they'd own 100% of GME.

WSB just hit 1m subs. do the math. Average yolo is sub 2k

Some people have a looooot of expendable cash. Especially for investments. I'm sorry but it's just not a good argument. Robinhooders have fundamentally changed market behavior objectively. They used to publicize it but they stopped last year because that information is worth good money.

One guy had 4500 shares. It would only take 7,000 or so investors like that.

Sometimes they do....like when the hedge fund managers are leveraging their trades with less than 5% down....

Reddit guys just changed the trajectory enough to terrify the banks and hedge funds that they were going to lose $100 million on every $2-3 million they actually committed.

It wasn’t 12 billion when they started. It was like a half billion.
