Snow buries the exile house crown lost, yet grace endures Anointed king, now meek carries the realm’s sins alone

No shout, no venom only silent eyes meeting steel and betrayal He drinks the cup prepared

Passion-bearer sovereign lamb led to slaughter forgives the executioners while innocent blood cries

Last keeper of sacred throne your soul ascends through smoke of revolution Still you plead for us

Repent, O Europe for slaying the Lord’s anointed His quiet death condemns every crownless republic

Through royal blood shed heaven’s doors stand open honor the fallen king or forfeit your birthright.

So moving. They say drunk poets and children are telling the truth. OTOH, those who say that are usually neither of the above.

Sorry, was referencing a German proverb. Thought I had heard it used in English before. https://www.dict.cc/?s=Kinder+und+Betrunkene+sagen+immer+die+Wahrheit. Here translated to 'Children and fools tell the truth' Similar to: 'Out of the mouths of babes...'

Since the post is about a poem, I made it 'drunk poets' instead of just 'drunks'.

Hopefully there's less confused noises now.

Ah, yes. I am less confused.

I now redirect my confusion to more confusing matters. Like magnets...how do they work?
