The left always accuse their opponents of their own flaws. Because this is how they think. They think, "what would I do in that situation", then they accuse their opponents of doing that, particularly where it comes to motives. Psychologically, they are driven by malicious envy. They are unsuccessful (either actually or relatively) and resent anyone who succeeds on their merits, so they vilify them and try to drag them down. When they gain political power, they enact legislation to do this as well.
