Emma Lazarus was pretty much "forced" to write some crap by her cousin or some crap on the Liberty statue. FFS, the statue wasn't even well received for its time and America did NOT want it. It was forced on the people as always, who were told to pony up the cash to have it installed. Wonder why this is (((missing))) from the history, is that Americans paid for the damn thing to be installed
