On Roberts and Kavanaugh not being genuine conservatives? Most of my thoughts on that topic are of the I-told-you-so variety.
Yes I would be strongly inclined to agree. The whole fiasco around Kavanaugh seemed designed to rally support around him without actually letting anyone get a good idea of who he was or what his beliefs were.
He just became a sort of 'persecuted' figure representing all that was wrong with the left. But he doesn't seem to actually support a limited and conservative interpretation of the constitution.

The thing the left hated most about him was the president who nominated him. Anyone Trump liked had to be painted as evil incarnate.
