Very good cartoon, but the US does give a shit, because oil is the only thing supporting their dollar.
This is what so many Americans don't understand. They've (the central banks) created so much money, and the only way to ensure that it retains value is to hold a monopoly on oil trade. And the reason they've printed/borrowed so much money, was so that everyone could have free shit, and/or freedom from responsibility.
