Make sure it's XL size and don't cheap out, I prefer darker colors.

Yeah I learned the hard way to not wear colors that make you stand out. When I was in Switzerland years ago I was the only idiot it was walking around in a flannel shirt and just got so bothered by people. Very shades of gray and various shades of black is what I have now. I have an actual rain jacket waterproof boots and pants. Most of the trip is going to be on the coast but they were talking about a lot of rain and heavy wind. This should be fun on a boat, I'm probably going to be hanging over the side throwing up my lunch.

Adriatic sea gets really rough in the winter, bring nausea pills if you're prone to it.

To be honest I don't know if I am. I've never been on a cruise and the boats that I have been on have been pretty big ferries that had ballast. This boat is 150 ft long and 40 wide. I think this will be interesting... I better find some dramamine.
