Oooh, it actually has nothing to do with the cache, my bad.
The real reason it didn't work the first time is because I didn't put in a proper link before switching to a text post.
So if you make a link post and input a http://+ url that it accepts, you may then switch to a text post and type something and hit submit. If you DON'T put in a proper link before switching to a text post, your text post will not submit.

It's fixed. I did have to clear the cache once more so other users might still have the problem unless they do that.
