Whack a mole

Well guys, looks like we have our first dedicated trolls. So now begins the game of whack a mole. Or, consider doing IP based bans to at least force them to renew their IPs. Then once you get their IP block, can make it less interesting to troll here vs. the work required.

Does Voat have IP based bans?

They did at one point, not sure about now. They also did domain based bans for people spamming links to a domain.

we have domain bans I just really don't want to use them if I don't have too. I'd rather play whack a mole and wear the person down if I can

Can you please reread the second half of my post? Once you get the IPs, you get their IP block. Blocking a block of IPs is just as easy as blocking a single IP. Make them work for it and they will lose interest.
