for example, when I click "submit a link", you can integrate the poal image upload in that page. Once you upload an image, the link is automatically put into the link space, and you can just click submit. Sort of like how reddit does it.

Yes! Whenever I want to upload an image to pic8 I hit the submit link button then remember how it's actually supposed to be done. It could even just show up as an option whenever a user clicks submit a link post.
